New Zealand Ski Blog - Real Experiences!

Thanks for dropping by my blog! I live and breathe skiing and snowboarding and spend all winter on the slopes and the rest of the year preparing for the next season! I’ll keep you updated with all the latest news ahead of the 2009 season here in New Zealand, including mountain updates, pointers on New Zealand heli-skiing and backcountry snowboarding, and all the latest ski clothing and gear. I’ll also be bringing you all the latest weather updates and mountain conditions once the season starts to help you plan your visits accordingly.

You can quickly locate all the latest news and information by using the search box on the right, as well as events taking place up on the mountains. Each post is published into subject categories and 'tags'. So if you want to read about any of the mountains in New Zealand click on the appropriate tag at the bottom of the page, such as Coronet Peak and every blog post we've ever written on Coronet Peak will be displayed. You can also read the posts by monthly archive - which is a great way for you to get a feel for what is happening both before and during the ski season. Many of the events I blog about happen annually, such as the Queenstown Winter Festival so if they grab your interest you can plan your New Zealand travel itinerary around them.

Perhaps you’re coming to New Zealand during our winter months and are keen to have a few first-time ski or snowboard lessons but are not too sure which to try? What will you need to take to the mountain? And which is the best mountain to visit for your ability? Feel free to ask me these or any other questions you have about skiing or snowboarding in New Zealand and either myself or one of my very friendly writers will respond with a follow up comment.

Here’s to the 2009 season!
