Now in its fifth big year and proudly putting the ‘queen’ back in Queenstown, the annual Gay Ski Week NZ is currently in full swing.
Event Director and local Queenstowner Mike Sanford originally conceived the idea for Gay Ski Week NZ – now the largest event of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere – when he saw an untapped opportunity to market Queenstown as an international gay-friendly travel destination.
A fabulous range of events are on offer, and not all are snow-related! Catch a ride on the Pink Bus to hit the slopes during the day before heading out in the evening for a spot of socialising. Guest entertainer and drag diva the fabulous Miss Ribena from Auckland’s Family bar will host an evening of karaoke at the Skycity Casino on Wednesday night. Then don your best bowling shirt for a night of retro bowling on Thursday, and be sure to attend the huge White OUT Friday night party. No matter what your inclination, one thing is certain – Gay Ski Week NZ is packed with non-stop fun that you’ll never forget!
Book your day’s activities, purchase and collect event tickets and get help on what to do and where to go at the Gay Ski Week NZ Tour Desk in the lobby of the Crowne Plaza Queenstown hotel.
