‘Retro’ April Deals for Mt Ruapehu!

by Brown Bear - April 1st, 2009. Filed under: Latest News, North Island, Ski Areas.

Calling all North Islanders! Mt Ruapehu is offering skiers and snowboarders a special ‘retro’ April deal on season passes for 2009 and I have to say, it’s an absolute corker!

For this month only, you can buy a season pass for $385 adults and $225 youth (that’s a huge saving of $310 adults and $175 youth!).

Given that day passes alone set you back $83 for adults and $48 for youth, you would only need to visit the mountain 5 times throughout the entire season to get your money’s worth! And I bet if you’re a real snow bunny, you’ll be planning to visit a whole lot more than that!

What’s even better is that the benefits don’t just end with the huge discount! Also included in your Mt Ruapehu season pass is:

• Unlimited access to Turoa and Whakapapa ski areas throughout the 2009 winter season
• $20 off day passes, $15 off student passes and $10 off youth/senior passes at Remarkables, Coronet Peak, Mt Hutt, Mt Dobson, Porter Heights and Cardrona Ski Areas
• A massive 50% off midweek lift passes at Tukino Ski Area
• $100 off a Treble Cone 5 day anytime pass, making it just $300. You can also get additional days for just $70/day
• 20% off adult and child/youth all day lift passes at Ohau and Roundhill Ski Areas
• 10% off all purchases from Vertical retail stores at both Whakapapa and Turoa Ski Areas
• 10% off a whole range of off-mountain activities in the Ruapehu, Taupo and Waitomo regions.

PLUS $125 of on-mountain discounts loaded onto your season pass, including:
• $45 off an afternoon private ski/snowboard lesson
• $5 off any ski/board workshop service
• $10 off any rental product (you get two of these discounts)
• $10 off any purchase over $75 at Vertical retail (you get two of these discounts!)
• $2 off a hot drink at any of our on-mountain cafes (you get five of these discounts!)
• $25 off a Crater Lake Adventure guided trip.

So what are you waiting for! If you are interested, gather your money together before
30 April 2009 as this is a special promotion for this month only! Once 1 May 2009 arrives, the price will return to the usual rate of $695 for adults and $400 for youths!!
