Cross Country Canada has confirmed it is sending a 23-strong team featuring six Olympians and one Paralympian to compete at Winter Games NZ in Wanaka on 21-30 August 2009.

Early snow has come to South Island ski areas. Cold temperatures and light snowfalls overnight on 8 April 2009 have delivered early snow to New Zealand’s premier ski areas Coronet Peak, Mt Hutt and The Remarkables.
